HPC Engineer

Job Description

You will be responsible for the manufacturing, assembly, setup, and maintenance of HPC systems, which are high-performance parallel computers for scientific and technical computing. You will also be involved in the installation and operation of cluster facilities. In addition, you may be responsible for sales activities related to HPC systems, including proposals and technical explanations to customers.

• Shell Script: sh, csh, bash, tcsh
• Perl, Python

Qualifications

• A strong belief in your own professionalism and potential, with the ability to learn, think, and take initiative continuously
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree
• New graduates and experienced applicants are both welcome
• Applicants with Information Technology Engineer Examination qualifications will be given preferential consideration

Recruitment Details

Number of Positions	A few positions
Work Location	Tokyo Head Office, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, or Yamaguchi Head Office, Ube, Yamaguchi
Probationary Period	Up to 6 months from the date of employment

Compensation and Benefits

Starting Salary	Monthly salary from JPY 217,000 for bachelor’s degree holders to JPY 283,000 for master’s degree holders, determined based on age, educational background, and other factors
Allowances	Commuting allowance, housing allowance, family allowance, qualification allowance, and others
Salary Increase	Once a year, regular salary increase in July
Bonuses	Twice a year, summer bonus and year-end bonus, subject to individual performance and company performance
Working Hours	① 8:30–17:00 ② 9:00–17:30 ③ 8:00–16:30 or flextime system (Annual scheduled working hours: approximately 2,000 hours)
Holidays	Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays
