Full time equivalent research contracts
FTE (Full time equivalent) is a service that starts by defining a "period" according to the scale of the research theme. During that period, researchers and dedicated computer resources are secured and guaranteed exclusively for the customer.

FTE contract features
Since this is a fixed-term contract, the costs associated with the contract can be managed in a planned manner, and even difficult research themes can be addressed efficiently over a set period of time. In addition, since researchers and computer resources are assigned exclusively, it is possible to obtain more results in a shorter period of time compared to regular full orders (spot contracts). This has been highly praised by many customers. The usage fee is 1,600,000 yen (excluding tax) per FTE contract per month.
Securing dedicated researchers and computing resources
Use them as your company's calculation department.
- Computer: 128vCPUs + 1GPU, Total memory: 128GB (vCPU is equivalent to the number of cores in our computer instance. Ada Lovelance is available as a GPU architecture.)
- Calculation software: Gaussian (quantum chemistry calculation solver), PC GAMESS Firefly (quantum chemistry calculation solver), MOPAC (semi-empirical molecular orbital calculation solver), Amber (molecular dynamics simulation calculation solver), GROMACS (molecular dynamics simulation calculation solver), LAMMPS (molecular dynamics simulation calculation solver), Quantum ESPRESSO (first-principles molecular dynamics simulation calculation solver), PowerMC V.3 (Monte Carlo simulation calculation solver), Confab (conformation search software), ChemProp (physical property prediction software) and others are available.
Efficiently carry out individual task cycles
It can be flexibly customized according to customer requests.
- We will identify and propose computational solutions that will optimally support your research and development, share information with your company, and work with your researchers to implement projects and hold in-depth discussions.
- The FTE contract emphasizes continuous communication between our researchers and our clients. Through regular meetings and progress reports, we can share the progress of the project and review the plan or take measures for improvement as necessary. This will help us to maximize the efficiency and results of your research.
Workflow of FTE Contracts
01 Confirmation of your request
After signing the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), we will review the details of the research and development objectives and goals. Based on this, we will discuss the required research resources and offer opinions and suggestions as needed.
02 Formulation of research plan
Based on the agreed objectives and goals, we will consider the most suitable methods and propose a research plan. We will also provide a breakdown of milestones and a progress management policy.
03 Implementation of the project
By the starting date of the research and development project, we will secure dedicated researchers and computing resources, and begin operations promptly from that date. The research and development will be conducted in-house, and we will verify and confirm our findings with those of the client as needed. Furthermore, we will work closely with the client, sharing information through regular discussions, and reviewing the direction and deepening the content of the research and development to ensure the project runs smoothly and without delay.
04 Reporting of results
Interim reports will be submitted at each milestone, and a final report will be submitted at the end of the project. Furthermore, if the research and development will continue, a continuation report outlining future plans and policies will be provided.
